How To Qualify
Qualifying for a REX Agreement is a simple process. The first step involves pre-qualifying your property, which can be done by requesting a proposal online or by calling EquityRock at 866-722-3910. At that time we would outline your preliminary terms for a REX Agreement and the maximum amount of your equity you are able to convert into cash.
Once you’re qualified, you’ll be ready to request and complete our application package. When we receive your completed application materials, we will promptly take steps to verify your personal credit history, mortgage loan information, and property insurance. We will also open an escrow account, request the escrow agent to prepare a preliminary title report, and order one or more third-party valuations of your home.
If we make a final determination that you and your home meet all the criteria for a REX Agreement, we will extend to you a written proposal that will include the specific terms that we would be willing to offer to you and describe any contingencies associated with our proposal.
When you accept our proposal, we will schedule a closing and the escrow officer will coordinate the clearing of any remaining contingencies and the signing of all documents required to complete the transaction. After you have signed and delivered these documents into escrow, you will have three business days to withdraw your intent to enter into the REX Agreement. Only after the end of this reconsideration period will we instruct the escrow agent to record the transaction and to disburse to you the Advance Payment funds, the Option Fee, and the Covenant Fee that we will have previously deposited with the escrow agent.
